Recreating THE OUTSIDERS

Students are to do group work and choose 2 characters from the book THE OUTSIDERS. Then, they are to come up with a graphic organizer showing how the author has slowly introduced the characters and their characteristics. (Preferably using STEAL)

After that, students are to present their graphic organizer to the class, and then, act out what the character would look like, if the setting of the story is now Singapore 2008, Bishan, Catholic High School.

Something definitely surprised me in school today.

So in the morning, I came to school with Mok (Like usual). Then, my classmate came to tell me that a person from Class 1-1 was looking for me. So I went to Class 1-1 during my free time. (When lessons are not going on) I went to look for the Class Chairman, told him that a person in your class wants to see me, he said to me, "Don't bother" and so I didn't.

During recess, that person came to my class, told me that Band had a slot, he wanted to quit. Then he asked me to follow him to look for the teacher-in-charge.

Went to the staff room, the teacher wasn't there.

So we went back to class, and he asked me to meet him after school outside 1-1 classroom. Unexpectedly, after school we had photo taking. (We were uninformed) So he came down and look for me... Blah Blah...

In the end, I decided to go back to Band.

Hey... Sorry, been busing reading for the last two days, didn't come and post.

Just understood that we should live with what we are given, we're fortunate enough, be considerate, think of other people.

I finally was able to put down the fact that I was kicked out of band because of an extra one people. I understand that the conductors and teachers did not want to do that, but they had to.

By quitting band, I can actually help the conductors and teachers have one less trouble. I know that they have a lot and a lot of troubles to look to.

=)

Let's stop talking about that.

Meanwhile, I agree with MJ. "The Outsiders" is a nice book. Heh, our English teacher showed us a movie, which the storyline was to "The Outsiders", called "West Side Story". Its a musical, classmates said it was a combination of "The Outsiders" and "Romeo and Juliet".

PATAPON

What is Patapon?

Patapon is a rhythm-based game. You are Almighty, and you control a group of soldiers mainly named Patapons.

How do you control your Patapons?

Basically, you control Patapons with drums. (Called Drums of Miracle I think) At the beginning of the game, you will receive a drum, Pon. This drum is placed at the Circle. Then, you will meet the leader of the tribe of Patapons, he recognizes you as the Almighty, and gives another drum, Pata. This drum is placed at the Square. You will now learn your very first Patapon song. This game's rhythm is four beat constantly. So, you will go "Pata Pata Pata Pon". 1 drum beat per beat. Later as you advance in the game, you will gain new drums like "Chaka" and "Don".

What's so fun about Patapon?

Patapon combines both rhythm and strategies. Of course, not to mention, the Patapons are cute.

Now... MD (Modern Dance) today was cool. =) We learnt a new dance routine. Gosh... The music was fast. The dance instructor did say that this dance helps us practice how to shift our body weight from left to right, from head to toe fast.

Hm... Was so engrossed in Maple that I didn't really post about what happened today in the last post. So let's talk about it now.

There wasn't really much to do in the lessons. So we had CarpeDiem in class, did our Gentleman Passport, then, had our PE Lessons and ran 2.4 km.

Passing time was 16 : 50 min and I er... Passed. =) I scored a score that I would have never dreamt of, its so weak. I still need to strive to improve it more. 16 : 16 min.

Then after school, stayed back for CCA. After eating, went to library, to "pratice" Chinese Chess with classmates. One of them taking part in the Inter-School Chinese Chess Competition that is held today. Wished him good luck.

Then, when I reached the MD (Modern Dance) room, friend told me that the teacher came at about 2 pm (Which is early, CCA's time is at 3 pm) and told them that the dance instructor had something going on and had to postpone the dance practice. Oh well, shouldn't had stayed back in the first place. xD

Anyways, so as usual, rode the MRT to Admiralty then took 912 back to my house. And then at about 6 : 30 pm, Mok called me (He has Band CCA) and told me he saw Miss James while crossing the road to the Bishan MRT Station. =\ I wished I was there, its been about 4 months since I last saw Miss James!

Anyways, that's about all, so when I came back, took a bath, on the comp, then started blogging, after that, played Maple, ate dinner, blogging now, and sleep. =)

Its 8 : 58 PM according to my computer time, I plan to write as much *AHEM* "meaningless" things I can till my comp clock strucks 9. Its 8 : 59 PM already. Just a minute more to go!

Haha, my life's THAT boring, everyday I just go to school, acquire new knowledge, go for CCA, nothing special happens to me. Clock just struck 9. I just happened to notice how time flies. xD

Let's just delay the time to 9 : 03 PM. Even if I log out now, I would be staring at my computer screen and wasting electricity. Haiz... The tabs that I have currently now are...

When you want to do something, something meaningful, you wish time could pass slower, you could enjoy more fun. But time just seems to tick-tock away. Second by second.

When you are just bored, too bored and nothing to do, time just goes so slowly, it seems like its trying to make you die of bore doom (Touch wood).

Don't you just time miraculously amazing? Its 9 : 03 already.

Before I end my post at 9 : 05 (Yes, I delayed the time AGAIN), I just wanted to aspire myself and all of you out there to do something helpful, meaningful.

Look at your clock. Look at the second hand, its ticking, second by second, your life is going away. Imagine this, your life is a basin of water. The basin has a puny, tiny, SMALL hole. If you just sit there and do nothing, the water is going to leak away. Do something meaningful, let people wash plates the water. Wasted, but did something meaningful. Life's like that. Sometimes serious, sometimes hilarious, sometimes sad, sometimes full of joy.

And last sentence before I stop, remember that everytime you celebrate your birthday, you're celebrating that you've grown 1 year older, but also 1 year closer to death.

Personally, I think that the movie is great. The 23 days that L has for him to change the world is packed with tension, anxiety and much much more. The weekend $10 ticket is definitely worth it.

Pros :
- The 23 days was filled with tension, anxiety and much much more.
- The storyline is great. With unexpected events coming one after another.
- Some parts of the movie was serious, and some was funny and hilarious.

Cons :
- The "secret" ending was quite short.

Oh gosh, Modern Dance is getting pressurizing. Hm... Have to learn how to do Wall Walk, Cartwheel, Frizz (Or something like that).

Wall Walk, you start out facing the wall, you take a step or two and before your head bangs into the wall (about 20 cm away?) you put both hands on the floor and lift your legs and touch the wall and hold there. Yup.

Cartwheel, you start out with a wide open path, you run (or take a few steps), put both hands on the ground and turn 360! Wahoo!

Frizz, its something like a hip-hop move, I can't really describe it... Its like, you go into a squatting position and the you place both hands on one side, then you lift yourself up and your head on the ground. Hm... WRPS people, its like when Fauzan did in the P5 Performance, 6S, ya? Remember?

But as all of you know, AHEM, my size, I can't do ANY of these. So gratz to me. My tagboard getting boring liao, don't know should delete or not. LP Rocks!

Finally, ROBOTICS. On Weds, MODERNDANCE, on MONS and WEDS. Clash sia, but, the Robotics people say might discuss with teacher to change CCA day! (Yay?)

Tomorrow cross country. Mass run is 3.5 km, must complete in 25 minutes. But guess what? I'm competing! Lol. 5.2 km? According to MC. But I thought is was 3.5 km? Ahh... Who cares, venue is Bishan Park 1. People who can come PLEASE come and cheer for me? I fail my 2.4 km pratice run still can qualify to run in the competitive run, see? Pro right?

Today PE was... Hard. We had to ran 2 rounds at the start of PE lesson. (Our normal warm-up run) Then on top the 2 rounds, we had to run another 6⅔ rounds. (About there) Yep, we had our 2.4 km training. And yep... I scored an AMAZING score of failing. 20:38 min. Amazing isn't it? Got back our Math Mastery Review paper too. Didn't do THAT good, but already happy with my results.

Anyways, just mastered how to solve the Rubik's Cube (3 x 3 x 3 Small plastic cube which can twist and turn). Bought the Rubik's Revenge (4 x 4 x 4 Small plastic cube which can twist and turn and is back for revenge), and learnt how to solve in today.

Managed to do all these, thanks to a person who posted a tutorial for this 2 scary cubes which can twist and turn (Yea, I know, that joke is getting old). Anyone interested? These are the links.
